All of the airheads had a nice soak today! I’m obsessed with the bloom on my big one, and my old man’s beard is very happy since I pruned out the brown pieces. What’s your favorite air plant? :)

Very cool! I haven’t tried air plants. Kinda fell into the world of dirt head first and haven’t looked back. Where’s a good spot to start?
0 J'aimeI have quite a few garden centers that have them, there’s usually dozens together so try to pick one that has a bulkier base. They don’t require soil or a base, in nature they grow on other plants/ materials I think, there are hundreds of varieties! Water very infrequently, I do once a month or when they start to accumulate dust. To water get a big bowl full of (I use purified) water and add your water-soluble fertilizer of choice. Then plop them in and let them sit for a while, when you take them out leave them upside down for at least an hour (I leave mine under a grow light for an hour) so they don’t have any water pooling in the crevices. They’re a great sit and forget kinda plant
2 J'aimethese are literally the loveliest air plants i have ever seen. they are thriving! magic
