    It’s a croton. They like all day full sun to maintain the rich colors (or a 12 hr daily grow light), warm temperatures, regular fertilizer and higher humidity.

    The plant you have right there is a Croton Petra. They come from Malaysia and some parts of Asia They like bright light. Basically the more color a plant has the more light it needs. I own four different versions very fussy as well. If move to a new location it will drop all their leaves, but if you find its happy spot, you will see growth happen a lot.

    Take care to inspect the leaves - mine have been a bit susceptible to spider mites so I do pretty regular checks and cleans of the leaves

    Super sensitive & fussy like Calvin said! Does not like change in location, temperature changes or repotting. If it’s not happy, it has no problem dropping its leaves like crazy.

    Mine has been happy in a sunny spot and not letting the soil dry out too much. I would advise not watering with tap water. Mine got calcifications on it or something that I think dried out a leaf.
