I love the name 🤣 My favorite Hoya of mine is fiiiiiinaly growing a single new leaf. It’s been like 6 months since I got it 🤪 It couldn’t even manage to give me a set of two leaves lol

how much light does it get? my h. obovata (variegata) is one of my fastest growing plants overall, and the fastest growing hoya. hoya require lots more light and water than most people give them. south facing windows are perfect for hoya in my climate, and those in 4” pots usually get water every week or two, once the bottom leaves begin to feel a little limp

Hm.. Maybe he’s wasn’t getting enough light then. I just moved him to an east facing window spot, that has a partially shaded south facing window. But maybe he needs more?? I need to experiment with hanging baskets I think

I don’t think I’ve fertilized my plants in a few months, I wonder if I should do that! + more light too

Yes. The name is hilariously adorable. 😂😂😂 One thing about Hoya is that they only grow when 1. They’ve established a healthy root system and 2. They feel comfortable in their environment. Try increasing the light and give it a stake. I can’t tell you how many Times I’ve had a tendril just get longer and longer and won’t push out leaves until i attach it to a trellis or it finds something to attach itself to.

I have been wanting to get some trellises! But she has not even pushed out any tendrils yet? Maybe that’d encourage it though!

You could use a stick, pencil, etc. for now until a tendril grows. You just was to give it a support for now.
