Hi there! I think that’s a split leaf philo or some cousin, but it doesn’t matter, they’re all (philos) considered “toxic” due to their calcium oxalate (CO) production. CO isn’t poisonous but it is an **irritant,** so it will bother your pup’s mouth and if he swallows, he may get a tummy ache and whatever tends to follow that. It’s really only going to be a problem if your pup eats A LOT at once or just very frequently. If he’s not already chewing on the plant, I’d recommend leaving it alone and seeing if your pup is even interested. I have three very active cats, a lazy dog, and 100+ houseplants with and without CO. My cats really only bother “stringy” plants that I put out of reach like palms or spiky dracaenas. My dog shows zero interest in any of my plants, but again, he’s lazy. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Yes Ruby is very curious jumping up biting a mouthful. I have propped it up on the patio chairs, will just see if she losses interest or grows out of it. ( I can’t cut it )

If she’s still trying to get at it, maybe move it somewhere out of sight for a few days? That’s generally all it takes for my nosy cats (they literally get into everything) to lose interest. My PT palm is in a low-traffic area of the house so now my cats don’t even bother it. Good luck!
