The first pic is my pothos last night and the second is what it looked like when I woke up this morning.. I trimmed up the leaves but I’m so confused what happened! Any guesses or suggestions?

The only time I’ve ever experienced such rapid die back was when I watered a plant that had cold damage. I’m not saying that’s what it is but that is what it reminds me of. Hope you get some answers so you can salvage whats left. 🤞🏽

When was it last watered? What kind of pot is it in?
0 likesI just got it yesterday, but I misted it today in case that was the issue. It’s in a plastic pot with drainage and then it’s placed in a ceramic pot.

It looks already kind of damaged on the first pic. Was it exposed to freezing temperature?…
1 likeI just got it yesterday and it was in a warehouse, then it got brought outside for a short amount a time. But it was probably only 10° outside at the time, so that definitely could be it! Do you have any suggestions for warming it up and salvaging it?

Damaged leaves will not recover… but if the stem is ok it will continue growing. Later you can cut the new growth and propagate creating new plant 🌱 🤗

I once killed a dracaena on the way to the car during winter. It was outdoors only long enough for me to load in my car. It was dead the next morning. That cold air can do a number on a tropical plant really fast. You can cut off all the damaged leaves and see if the roots are still good. It will grow back if it’s still alive under the soil.
