Hii!! I just bought this hyacinth bulb from my local supermarket, however I have no idea what to do with it after it grows😂the tag on it doesn’t have any instructions past keeping the water 75% full. Anyone have any tips?? I don’t have a garden so it would have to be potted but I just don’t know when to repot it!!

It’s bulb forced to bloom out of its typical spring or summer season. You can put bulbs in a paper bag and put them in the lower shelves of a fridge for several weeks. This simulated the winter dormancy period. You place the bulb to root above water or in a potting mix. Bulbs under water will quickly rot. These bulbs need 6 hours to 8 hours of full sun or grow light equivalent. Gradually acclimate it to full sun to prevent burns. Keep away from heater vents. Change the water weekly or sooner if cloudy. You can use a diluted liquid fertilizer made for bulbs/blooms which has more phosphorus in the formulation. Bulb fertilizer granules or bone meal works well in potting mix. 🍀đŸȘŽ

All of that sounds very complex😂 are you able to tell what stage I’m at from the picture?? Because I think it’s past the refrigerator stage from what I read on google. Also is the level of water in the vase ok?? The tag said to keep it 75% full at all times. And how do I know when it’s ready to plant it in soil?? Thankyou so much for your help!!

Cover the roots in water. Don’t let the bulb base sit in water. Place it under a grow light or bright light.

This setup is designed for the bulb to live and bloom in water. No need to plant it in soil. Most people throw the bulb away after it stops blooming.
