This is a complicated answer, but both plants are about 2 years old. I think I found the perfect spot for them for ideal light levels outside of winter and in winter I supplement with the growlights. The neon is getting 200-300 foot candles on top and the global green too much, but the leaves on top arenāt burning, just a little bleached out. Honestly, I think they are benefiting from a layer of dust that is acting like sunscreen š¤Ŗ. They have both been regularly pruned otherwise theyād be across the floor. Donāt be afraid to prune! I was for a long time. This next thing is probably benefitting but not good practice. The global green Iāve never repotted. The cache pot it is in is pretty tall so I put leca at the bottom to prop it up initially and thought it would be an okay drainage layer⦠so as you can see in the picture itās rootbound and growing somewhat hydroponically. Itās doing so well, I hate the change anything š¬. In the summer I fertilize with fish emulsion and superthrive every other watering. That was a lot of rambling⦠but I think bottom line -good light, pruning, and fertilizing is doing it. Iād guess itās mostly the light, because the internodal spacing is short which will make the plant look fuller.
