great set up and welcome to Planta! one tip: do not follow its watering schedule. it’s often wrong. do always check the soil before watering!
3 J'aimeSo true about the watering notifications. 😅

That’s a shame! Kind of defeats the purpose of the app, doesn’t it?

yeah, kind of. it is nice to have them all there and organized. it helps to document photos and history. and the watering does help a bit but I often snooze my watering alerts when I check my soil.

Welcome! So much love and fan fare here for all things plants. You’ve got some happy looking beauties there — thanks for sharing!
1 j'aimePlant apps are only as good as the amount of information they know about your specific plants like air/humidity levels, lighting, water contaminants, potting mix, and an extraordinary amount of other variables. It can’t be everything for everyone because they’re are too many variables that affect plants. Eg., I have 2 hoyas about the same size, bought from the same nursery and appears to be in the same potting mix. One plant dries out faster than the other requiring more water per week. Planta can’t help with that. It can give an estimate when the plant might need water. Unfortunately, it’s not advertised as such causing overwatering too often. I use the notifications as a reminder to check my plants.
