Do you name your plants?? Do you have a theme or play off their actual name? My snake plant is Kaa, my pineapple has a Hawaiian name, my succulents get Hispanic names. Carl is from walking dead, because he is always trying to die. Linda is because she needs to be told to listen all the time! What is your favorite plants name and the story behind it?
I have no overarching theme, I just go based on the vibe lol. Some plants take longer than others for me to get struck with the perfect name, but most of the time I look at it and immediately have something in my head. Most of the ones with human names are named after musicians I like, with the one exception being named after a shade of lipstick 😂

My parlor palm is Lady Grantham because she sounds fancy. I have a Monstera named Nessie, an aloe named Vera Wang, a cactus named Stabby Joe, and a snake plant named Cobra Kai. A few others too. And I say good morning to each one! My husband thinks I’m crazy talking to each of them

I’m so glad I’m not the only one who names their plants! And yes I agree, most of the time I put a lot of thought into naming but sometimes one just comes to me and it works.

I have over 300 plants - would never remember all of their names lol. Though, I do have a name for one (My A. FRIEDRICHSTHALII is Freddy).
