Minty

My plant baby struggled for about a year or so. She is just starting to push some leaves upwards now that I’m giving her some more sunlight ☀️ QUESTION: she’s been browning a lot at the tips of the leaves. More water? Less Sun?

I think it could likely be getting overwatered actually, they don’t need much sun. Over watering often causes new growth as an act of survival by the plant. The brown tips may also indicate the same

How’s the soil? How’s the roots? What direction is this window facing and how much direct sunlight is it getting? Spider plants do well in bright indirect sunlight. A couple of feet from a window if possible. You also want to let the water dry out inbetween waterings. The brown tips could also be a possibility of lack of humidity as well.

Agree! Mine thrive on high humidity, bright indirect light and direct sun the last two hours before sunset, i.e. low intensity sun. Plus, I added timed release fertilizer (Osmocote). Soil almost dries out between watering.

What type of water are you using? Not sure if this is a spider plant but mine is picky and the tips turn brown if I use water from the faucet.
