I just finished my custom mount for my staghorn! I was gonna wait until tomorrow for better lighting, but I'm too excited lol I purchased him as a vertical/standard potted plant, so he still has to sort out his fronds a bit. He has one big healthy shield though and another tiny one that's harder to see in the upper right I wanted to make the mounted part removable for easier watering
I love how the chains break the geometric shape of the mount and add another element :)

So cool! I want to mount mine but I’m not supposed to put holes in the walls 🙄 I don’t think a command strip would be reliable enough… but maybe 🤔
좋아요 1개 i’m not supposed to either, but i use those picture hanging hooks that use a thin pin and they're really easy to fill in and hide later lol 😊
좋아요 1개 That’s how I feel, but my boyfriend gets anxious about bending the rules. I’ll work on him though lol. Our landlord probably wouldn’t even notice. It’s not like he have us the place in pristine condition 😝

Do it. As long as you fill holes you make with spackle when you move, they can’t charge you for anything, since legally they have to paint the walls between tenants and if you’ve prepped the wall with spackle, its all ready to be painted, no harm done.
좋아요 1개 That’s what I’ve been saying to work on changing my boyfriend’s mind lol. And I have spackle already too. Unlike my dad who apparently filled holes with white toothpaste back when he was in college 😂
