My alocasia black velvet has 5 leaves already but I noticed this little guy coming up today. Is it a 6th leaf?! Or is it a flower?

    It looks like another leaf to me. Mine flowered almost 60 days ago and this is what it looked like on July 9. It was cool that it bloomed, but very short lived.

    Here’s the before taken June 20th. The new blossom shoots seem plumper to me than a leaf 🌱 shoot. I was away for a week while they matured and opened, so I missed that. If you are hoping for blooms, then I am hoping I am wrong. 😊

      It just surprises me as this is her 6TH leaf! I’ve never heard of an alocasia black velvet with so many leaves on one plant. Thanks though!
