I recently got a Stromanthe Triostar and I love it so much! I think you’ll love it too ☺️

      Where did you put yours?

Mine is right in front of an eastern window that doesn’t have a sheer curtain. But just in case, I would recommend easing it into that light! My house is around 50-60% humidity so I didn’t need to add a humidifier. Another person on the app said that if your humidity is too low, all new leaves will come out crispy. I also use distilled water because it’s sensitive to minerals in tap water :)

The Aglaonema was classified as “Maria” which is my daughters name so she had to come with me too

beautiful! i’m a huge fan of stromanthe ‘triostar’ with her stunning genetic variegation. it’s a pretty easy care plant for a member of the marantacaea family, but if the humidity in your home is low, like anya said, you’ll end up with crispy tips! i left for vacation a week and had no humidifier running, and came back to almost 1cm of the edge of each leaf withered away. a humidity tray wasn’t enough to help this (they don’t do much) so i moved mine into the humidifier’s room, and it has been much happier there, growing faster as well. i’m very cautious about overwatering so i wait until the new leaves stop unfurling to water again, the top 1/2” to inch of soil is usually dry. if you wait too long though, all of the leaves will curl inward to help prevent moisture loss

During the summer our house humidity is low. I was thinking about putting her on my screened porch (with roof) but afraid it would get too much morning sun So maybe I’ll find her a shady spot on the porch

that sounds like a good idea! the plant will show you whether it is getting too much light (pink/cream leaves) or too little (dark green leaves), so keep an eye on the new growth and if they show an amount of variegation you’re happy with, it’s a good spot. though once the weather cools and you bring her inside, i’d watch closely for browning since our homes are much drier in the winter
