    This was always one of my absolute favorite calathea (and one of two I could keep alive). I may have to buy another one because of your post! 🤣

      Definitely my favorite plant too. He struggled moving from Michigan to Texas but he’s a survivor. I was so nervous to repot but it actually was the best thing bc I’ve had 7 new leaves sprout since repotting 2 months ago 🥹 just obsessed

    Gorgeous! Any care tips? I havent gotten any calathea yet i hear they are picky 😭

      My biggest tip is not to water too often. I used to do weekly like planta said but really saw an improvement when I would stretch to 14 ish days between watering. Frequent misting/humidifier and personally I stopped using fertilizer and just top off the soil every few months. My calathea has really been loving moisture control soil too; I repotted it with that and got 7 new leaves. I think that’s also why I can go so long between waterings. I also stay in Texas so it’s getting a lot of natural light.

    Gorgeous! Nice job! It’s on my list and I’m decent with Calatheas but they’re always in rough shape when I see them at the store.

      Mine definitely struggled the first time I got him. He would sprout a new leaf and then lose an old one but since moving to Houston, he’s been loving the sun and humidity. 🤝🏾 This is actually my second bc I killed the first one after repotting lol, trial and error with these guys.
