My rabbit foot fern is one of my favorite plants I have. The aerial roots are so unique.

    How do you keep it happy? What kind of light does it get. I’ve tried mine it two spots and it’s just not thriving. Do you give it distilled water?

      Yes I water with only distilled water and it sits right near a humidifier I run for part of each day as well. It is directly under a grow light that is about 9 inches away from it. It gets about 700 foot candles of light for 12 hours a day. Ferns need so much bright light. It sits next to my kangaroo paw fern that likes the same conditions.

      Thanks for all the info. It’s clear to me that I’m not giving mine what it wants. I thought it would do ok on lower light, like west window but that’s obviously not enough. You are the fern master.
