Proud parent moment! I have a new leaf coming in on my monstera and I successfully grew a silver dragon Alocasia from a corm! Also, I have noticed some light green spot on the new leaves that came in on my mature silver dragon and on the leaves of her baby that I grew. Could this be variegation or is this normal for new leaves on silver dragons?

This is sport variegation. Very common on Alocasia 🤗

Could be sunburn. The areas will dry out and turn brown, if it’s sunburn. New leaves are sensitive to direct sunlight. Sheer curtains can create some shade.

They only get direct sun for 1-2 hours in the morning (if that) the sun is up too high for it to get directly to the plants by 9am
