I have this parlor palm and she’s not doing so hot - she gets moderate sunlight and has been watered/misted with filtered water on schedule. Any suggestions?

Well, from my perspective, this plant has yellowing leaves, which means it it dried out. Unless, if you feel the leaves, it feels moist or jelly like, or soft. If that’s the case, then it’s drowned. If it’s dried out, try watering it once or twice a week, unless Planta says otherwise. If it’s drowned, then move it away from the sun, don’t water it for a while, mist the leaves so it gets moisture, and try repotting with new soil. If not if that works, try researching your plant and it’s needs. Just a suggestion.

It looks like the pot is terracotta so you might have to water it a little more often since it obtains most of the water. From what I can see the leaves looks a little dry and crispy! If they’re more flexible/soggy to the touch try checking the roots and seeing if they’re brown meaning root rot from overwatering.

Not that I have experience with this plant, I read the info page for Parlor Palm and had just read the general info page about humidity. Perhaps she might appreciate a humidifier in her he area or a tray of pebbles and water under her for humidity increase instead of/ in addition to the misting. Oh, something else I recently saw some people say is that you have to be careful that filtered water doesn’t have mineral salts that is doing the softening. One last thought is hat she either might not like the draftiness of a/c environment, or the opposite, that she might appreciate a fan softly stirring the air somewhat near her. Thoughts for consideration
