How much of the soil did you remove off her roots when repotting to leca? I’m about to transition a prayer plant from soil to Pon, but the last calathea i did this too last week up and died within hours of this transplant (it also had a bit of rot so that may have been culprit). That girl is actually sprouting a new leaf now that in pon so may have a second life (even though ALL of her original ones are dead). But i don’t want to loose my prayer plant, since I love it so much! I’ve heard conflicting stories in my research that you need to remove 100% of soil otherwise it will rot, or you don’t need to be that meticulous, not disturbing roots too much and leaving some soil is ok. I know Calatheas/prayer plants don’t like to be repotted or roots messed with at all. What do you think?

I remove as much as I can. Calatheas seem to be more difficult to transition(for me), but I have been very successful. I remove all the dirty I can. Transition to just water I totally, really watching the plant/roots the first few days. If they continue to do well, I move to LECA a few weeks later.
