I love growing my snake plant in water because I can watch the babies grow! Here are the babies growing in three different stages. Sorry for the awkward hands lol they were difficult to hold

Is I just the baby’s or do you plant the whole plant in water because I’m trying to get one of my snake plants to produce a baby

I put the whole thing in water! Make sure you fertilize it occasionally though, because water doesn’t have any nutrients (unlike most soils)

Thank you so much and what would be the best way to get all of the soil of the root’s

I gently ran it under running water. Soil roots will rot and die and new water roots will replace them, so it’s not that big of a deal if some soil is remaining

Oh my gosh I live this! I didn’t know snakes can live in water! I’m thinking of transitioning some of mine to water but I don’t want to rock the boat 😬

Awesome. How long did you have it in water before getting those results?

That’s amazing. It’s taken me several months to produce a tiny baby from a cutting. Good for you.

If it’s from a cutting it takes much longer! A plant that’s already established will produce babies much more quickly. I’m also trying to grow one from a cutting rn.
