Last year I set out to get my scindapsus exotica to shingle. Pretty successful right? Now that she’s reached the top, do I just chop and start over? What do you guys think?

Very nice. They’re surprising with their growth. How tall is it now?

She started out about 4 inches tall and now she’s about 24 inches tall. I’m debating on chopping her up, propagating, and turning her into a full trailing basket. The moss is nice, but lately I’ve been loving the hanging basket look. This is a picture of the plant when we first started.

Aloha! I love to experiment with my plants so I say go for it. You’ll get that vertical interest and free up some space.

I would say level up the moss pole, but if you want to go the hanging route then do it!

I love the idea of covering a moss pole with the shingling. Nice work, by the way! I hear it’s no easy task to get them to shingle indoors.. congrats!

Lots of light, with a humidifier nearby and keeping the moss consistently moist. It is a lot to get going, but once they do, they put out a new leaf every few weeks
