I rescued this guy yesterday and I’m hoping to get it healthy. I’ve already taken a bunch of babies off to prop but I’m thinking they all might have to go when I repot. Aren’t those stems supposed to be lighter? Any tips appreciated.

You can actually cut those baby spiders off and stick them in damp soil and they’ll be rooted little plants in about a week. Or you can also arrange them all in a big flat bowl of water and you’ll have rooted plantlets in 7-10 days. And a bowl of baby spiders is gorgeous on the table. Let them get about three inches tall before you cut them. They will have root nubs on them by then. That plant needs to lose some of those pups.

The main plant looks pretty good from the picture! You may already know but spider plants are picky about water and using tap water turns the tips brown. I *think* distilled is recommended.
