If anyone here would love to know more about Venus’ Flytraps, I have an entire presentation on the little guys if you do. Ask me any questions you want to know before you get one, or any tips on your existing one! I have a baby Venus’ Flytrap names Vennie and a Pitcher Plant, both in the same pot. They are growing well and I have done lots and lots of research. Get me to 5 likes and I will give the presentation and pictures on how my Vennie and my Pitcher Plant, Terry are doing.     I had a Venus flytrap for about 6 months. She was doing so well- even bloomed some flowers! But then I repotted her from her nursery pot to something larger and she DIED IMMEDIATELY. Her traps got a lot of dirt on them in the process- could it have been stress?

      Repotting Venus’ Flytraps can be tricky, make sure to use the proper soil, no potting soil allowed, moss and perlite only. It is best to do this during the cold season when dormancy occurs in order to prevent your plant from dying of stress.

    What does caring for these plants look like during winter time when the weather is a lot less humid?

      Venus Flytraps go through dormancy in the winter, so no need to feed them. Watering should be pretty simple, as I and many others use this trick- putting a container around your pot (with drainage) and fill it to the top with water. It won’t rot, don’t worry. They are used to it.

    Thank you guys for all of the likes, most of your questions will be answered in my prepared presentation, although, hilang, you want to use the correct soil types, and try to do it during the late fall, winter, or very early spring. This is because of dormancy.
