My pepperomia red margin is flowering!!! I didnā€™t know they did this!!! She must like her new spot alongside my orchids! šŸ„³šŸŒøšŸ„³

    Congrats! šŸŽ‰ I got one myself not too long ago. Her nameā€™s Izzy (Isobel). As a head up, the flowers naturally snap themselves off when theyā€™re done pollenating, so donā€™t be alarmed if they suddenly drop off after a while. It doesnā€™t mean thereā€™s something wrong. Itā€™s a pretty cool feature, in my opinion.

      Thanks for the heads up! Id prob be posting about that if it happened. lol. How pretty Izzy is! She got such a big flower on her!

      Bought her from the nursery with that flower. After a couple of weeks, she literally killed it off herself and it landed on her big spoon leaf on the bottom šŸ˜‚ and Iā€™ve found they flower the most in the summer, but donā€™t take much light to do so. Mine are all very comfortable in the north windowsills of my house šŸŒ± hereā€™s how big the flower got before it landed in the big leaf below it, so yours has ways to go. Good luck! šŸ‘

      If youā€™re looking for a particularly cool, but very hardy peperomia, my favorites are the marbled obtusifolia. My twins are named Sunny and Cher. Hereā€™s Sunny ā˜€ļø

      And Cher šŸŒ™ the peperomias at my local nursery are always $7 so itā€™s really hard for me to not walk out with one šŸ˜‚ I think youā€™ll find your red margin is pretty hardy itself, like other obtusifolia and clusifolia. As long as you donā€™t overwater it or place it anywhere cold while the soilā€™s still wet, theyā€™ve become my lowest maintenance plants (and I have jade plants, so thatā€™s saying something). Hope yours treat you as well as mine do šŸ˜Š

      Sunny and Cher are beauuuutiful!!!! I nearly got a verigated one when I picked up the red margin. He seems to love his NE window and I agree, suuuuuuper low maintance, on par with my ZZs. Dang thatā€™s a big leaf on Izzy!!! šŸ¤©šŸ¤©šŸ¤© itā€™s nearly hand sized! Mines not nearly that big, but I just upsized her pot only about a month ago.
