This new leaf has me super proud of myself! Iā€™ve had this FLF for almost 4 years, and itā€™s been a constant struggle for me. It stopped growing leaves, and the leaves it did have were turning brown and crispy. They were dropping left and right. After another giant leaf dropped a few months ago, I said enough was enough, and I got serious about figuring out how to best take care of it. I researched it, watched YouTube videos, etc. and bought everything I felt I needed (new planter, soil, grow light, fertilizer, etc.) to get this FLF on the right track. That was early Augustā€¦ ā€¦ And now, it has a new leaf!!! I caused that!! How cool!! šŸ˜

    Very cool. Congratulations!!! I think once it starts with new leaves itā€™ll keep going. I too struggled for well over a year to no avail. I live in Vegas and once I got the Planta app and realized I wasnā€™t water nearly enough for my region and qqI changed that my FLF did a complete turnaround. I also added a tray with stones and water under the planter for moisture that cut down on the brown edges. I thought this would be the season for it to become dormant but sheā€™s still putting out super large leaves. Good luck, you got this.

      Thanks! And congrats to you too! ā˜ŗļø Iā€™ve been misting mine, and I put him in a self watering planter, so I havenā€™t really had to worry about over- or under-watering him. I also found a great fertilizer that Iā€™ve been putting in with the water. I can only hope he continues to produce more after this! ā˜ŗļø

    Congratulations I know how finicky fiddle leaf trees can be since Iā€™ve had one for almost a year now. I named mine Fiddly de Fiddly doo because itā€™s a no nonsense game with her. One day sheā€™s happy one day sheā€™s not. ā˜ŗļø please share what fertilizer you use on your fiddle tree. Iā€™ve always just used one kind of fertilizer on all my plants which so far has been very successful, but Iā€™m always open to recommendations. Again congratulations on your success.

      Thank you, and I love that name!! šŸ˜† I named mine Mr. Figglesworth. šŸ˜‚ The fertilizer I started using for it is by TPS Nutrients. It had great reviews on Amazon. You canā€™t post links on here, so I added a picture of it. ā˜ŗļø For my other plants, I use a fertilizer called Leafy that has been AMAZING! You can also get that on Amazon.

      Thank you so much for the fiddle leaf plant food. Iā€™m definitely going to order it. My go to plant food for all my other house plants besides my succulents and cactus is Purived plant nutrition that I got on Amazon as well. However, next year I might TPS because Iā€™m hearing that changing Plant food sometimes helps the plant with different nutrients. Thank you again and again congratulations on your success with Mr. Friddlesworth. ā˜ŗļø

      I wasnā€™t able to edit my last message, but I meant next year I may try Leafy for my other plants. Because Iā€™m definitely going to order the fiddle leaf plant food.

      I hope it helps to avoid the bottom leaves from drooping. Iā€™ve had to cut off at least 4 leaves in the last six months from the bottom, but as you can see from the picture all the top ones are perfect. Maybe a new plant food will help that although I do have to say the current plant food has done pretty well so far. When I was given this fiddle tree, it had no leaves just a stump. My neighbor was going to throw it out and the gardener that I am I grabbed it right away. šŸ˜‚
