Taking advantage of this rain 🌧️
Hey there 👋 just wanted to give you the heads up that these three don’t enjoy getting their leaves wet. The first two can develop crown rot, and all three can get scorched leaves if they’re exposed to direct sun while their leaves are still wet. Just thought I’d let you know that you might wanna take those inside when it rains.
2 Me gustaInteresting 🧐 Ive had them for a long time and never had an issue like that. Brought them outside for the watering and they go back in the window sill after.
0 Me gustaHuh 🤔 I’ve had to rescue quite a few plants because folks leave em out in the rain or water the leaves and they develop crown rot, especially aloes, gasterias, and snake plants. And I’ve dealt with a lot of jades where the leaves got scorched from the leaves getting wet and getting set back in a bright spot, especially if they’re usually outdoors. Perhaps they haven’t gotten scorched if the days you’re watering them from the rain, it remains cloudy, but the gasteria and snake plant being alright is a very pleasant surprise. That’s some good luck on your end, then! 😊
0 Me gustaI don’t water like this every time just taking advantage of a good rain and I let them dry out between waterings. I can see if people are leaving them outside for longer periods of time but the “leaves” dried in a few hrs after bringing them back in.
