Hi friends, my asparagus fern is in a pot with no drainage, I usually water her every 3-6 days and 80% of the time the soil is completely dry when I water again. I figured because ferns soak up so much water a no drainage pot would be okay but she is starting to yellow in the middle of her foliage. Do we think not enough humidity? Watering issue? I also hear asparagus ferns grow into their pots really fast, she’s been in this for a year and half, maybe an up pot? All advice helps:))
I’ve noticed that my asp fern is super touchy about light. It really prefers to be right up to the south facing window, and makes it known whenever I move it away. So maybe yours is trying to send a message about light? Also, mine hasn’t outgrown its current pot, so perhaps too different of a scenario to compare :)

0 likesWhat I meant was: mine is really happy with a lot of light. So I just suggesting you give yours more light. But if yours is already getting a lot of light, then we need someone else with more knowledge than me to chime in :)
1 likeI know nothing about asparagus ferns but I do have 2 that are huge and outgrow their pots super fast! My boyfriend thought they were weeds 😬😂 I would try putting her in a pot with drainage when you do repot her. It’s one of the only plants I’ve never had to research cause she just thrives no matter what I do! But watch cause I said this it’ll be dead next week. 😂
