My big momma bird’s nest fern, in LECA. She was a straight from soil to LECA transfer, and has done amazing considering she was already such a large, mature plant. 💚

    Do you transplant all/most of your plant progeny to LECA? It seems like the way to go for most plant types.

      I do! It’s so much easier for me, and more forgiving of neglect, than soil ever was for me. It’s the only way I’m able to keep plants alive, lol. I’ve put everything from cacti, to ferns, to succulents in LECA and they are all doing great. For me, it’s just been a matter of figuring out how much of a reservoir of nutrient water each plant likes best.

    I need to try it out and see. It’s lighter and less messy. I am forever tipping plants over.
