Mara
This is Selaginalla Unicata. Also known as Peacock Fern or Rainbow Moss. Technically not a moss or fern but classified as a fern. Under certain lighting she’s a beautiful iridescent blue. After a third visit, she was undeniable.

I couldn’t resist for $13 at Kroger. I feel like my photos don’t do it justice. The blue is more prominent in person.

DanikaWow I’m impressed you have it just out in ambient air! I have been looking into this one recently and keep reading that its more of a terrarium fern!

So far so good. It’s in a bright room with about 65-70 percent humidity. I do have to keep it misted every day so the ends don’t dry out. So I can totally see why this would do better in a terrarium. It’s just so big.. I haven’t quite figured out how I would eventually keep it happy long term.

I feel the exact same way about my huge cissus discolor. Its been fading away ever so slowly since i got it. Its probably half the size it was when I got it. Says it needs super high humidity and super bright indirect light. Its in 60% and has a grow-light but i still pull off 2-3 dead leaves every other day. Some plants are just not meant for our homes! Lol. Oh well. Can’t win them all! Let us know how that one goes!
