White fusion repotting help please. My calathea needs repotting and has been in this pot for over a year, maybe two years. The new growth is pushing up at the pot edge and is no longer growing in the center of the pot. What type of potting soil do you recommend and should I divide the plant? Anyone use charcoal at bottom of the pot? Itâs so sensitive, Iâm afraid to do anything to it.
BTW, the granular stuff in the middle of the pot is the media the âgood bugsâ (predatory spider mites) came in. The good bugs are battling the bad bugs (two-spotted spider mites). I tried neem oil and alcohol-insecticide soap mix and the calathea did not like that.

Why am I getting yellow leaves on all my prayer plants? Thereâs another one but canât find the picture so I tagged it
I have been watering them with silica by SuperThrive and very weak Leafy Lux since last October
I treated the rattlesnake for thrips by spraying and wiping the leaves then sprinkled with Bonide. Not sure it actually had thrips
I do clean their leaves once a month with neem and peppermint spray and treat them with Bonide every 90 days
Any suggestions are welcome

Leaves have been curled the last few days. Very tip of the bigger leaves are browning. No other signs of distress. Any ideas?

Reviving my Calathea!! I got her a year ago and she looked pretty ill, but through trial and error sheâs coming back! This is the most leaves sheâs given me, since I started adding a fertilizer concentrate to her watering. âșïž SO happy her leaves have been holding on this far!

Spring time means lots of new growth; I love it! My rattlesnake plant has 14 new leaves popping up right now. My ZZ plant is also going crazy with seven new shoots coming up along with giving me two flowers. It's kind of silly how we (plant collectors) get so excited when we see little things like a new leaf but it brings us so much joy.

Calatheas (prayer plants) are some of my favorite houseplants! They are a little challenging but i feel I've figured out a good system. They do best under growlights from my experience and they are next to a humidifier. Here are some pictures. I am just coming out of winter so they don't look the best, but they are beginning to put out new leaves!

This guy drives me nuts. Stromanthe Triostar. I feel like Iâve finally found a spot heâs happy in. This is the best heâs looked in months. Does have some dry tips still, so working on that with the humidity tray and now misting with distilled water. But, with this new spot, no grow light, itâs like the water isnât drying up. 2 weeks since the last water and itâs still pretty wet (bottom watered). Iâm worried about the roots now and thinking I need to change the dirt today. I use a tropical dirt adding lots of perlite. I do this with all my Calatheas and Hoyas and theyâre happy. Anyway, Iâm thinking fresh dirt and smaller pot? Any other suggestions? Thanks!

I almost lost this plant because of lack of moisture in my house. I cut everything that was left and enclosed it in a dome for humidity and here she is! Iâm proud of her đ

Jeremiah (I name my plants) has curled up his leaves and itâs been days and he wonât open. Watered him, moved him to indirect sunlight instead of my grow light (I live in Alberta in a basement without a lot of light) and have been operating my humidifier by him. Nothing is helping. Suggestions?

Got her a few weeks ago, she didnât look great but has just got worse and worse. Iâve been hoping she would perk up and just needed to adjust to new environment and repotting and all that.
Iâve been following plants advice but sheâs just dying. What do I do at this point?? Try to propagate? Repot? Any emergency care recommendations? Or go ahead and start planning the funeral? I really really wanna save her đ„Č
(I was using the bamboo and trellis because she was extremely droopy. And wasnât using the wick system with that pot, watering from above)

Help please. Not sure why my ctenanthe amagris is doing this. I check the water before I water and follow what planta tells me for misting and it just keeps curling its leaves. Any help would be greatly appreciated
