I’ve had this calthea for a little less than a year and she’s done pretty well but wondering what is causing these scratch looking marks? Is it normal for the bottom of the leaves to look like this?

looked at my calathea too long last night 😅😅 (soil was really dry, i watered, hopefully she feels better soon) 😂

Don’t give up on those Rattlesnake Calatheas! Mine went from gorgeous to nearly dead to finally sprouting new leaves after some aggressive repotting. Crossing my fingers she makes it!!

My friend gifted me cuttings from her super healthy prayer plant. She water propagated them, and they had good strong roots, so I stuck them in a well draining pot with some seed starter soil mixed with perlite. I’ve named her Shaadee, and she’s currently chilling on my shaded patio. I really hope I don’t kill her, I’ve wanted a prayer plant for ages!

Hey Planters! I bought a sad-looking Calathea orbifola last week to try and bring it back to good health. Its new leaf is unfurling but it's quite pale, should I snip it off to encourage energy use elsewhere or will it brighten up?

This is Pomodoro! My beautiful prayer plant. She’s super healthy and her leaves are glossy but when I was checking her soil today I saw this white patch of what I think is mold/fungus? It’s not coming from the fertilizer stick because it’s on the opposite side of the pot. I’m not sure what to do and I’m so worried Pomodoro could get sick as a result.

Hi friends! About a month ago I posted asking for help with my prayer plant in my dorm. The solution I was given was to water my plant with filtered, room temperature water. I’m very happy with how much this has helped my plant! (Many new leaves, much fuller and finally starting to trail!) Although, I now have a gnat problem. I bought sticky traps when I first started seeing them, this has helped immensely! Unfortunately, today was water day and so many gnats few out! Many of them got stuck in the traps, but I’m looking for solutions. If anyone has any gnat killers that they like, I would love some suggestions! Thanks!!🪴🌱

My prayer plant has yellow leaves. I repotted about two months ago and it dropped some leaves then but was fine for a while. Some stems are floppy and easy to wiggle. Could I be underwatering? Maybe not the right amount of water? Will it be okay? There have been big temperature changes throughout the day and it is currently near a window, could this be the problem too?

Hi friends, I had a question about my little prayer buddy, she is doing mostly well and has had around 6 new leaves spout up and begin to unroll, those leaves are going well however I’m noticing that at the bottom of the plant some of the leaves are starting to die. This juxtaposition of new growth along with death has me really confused, any ideas on what’s going on?

I’ve had some bad experiences with Etsy but am willing to try a seller if they come recommended. Thanks!
