Hi! I was watering my plant today and noticed this completely dead leaf :( I water it with room temperature, filtered water, and it has been a very long time since I’ve had a brown leaf like this. It is over 10 feet from the window, and is in the middle of the plant, so I don’t believe it is sunburn. I was actually thinking about getting it closer to a window, as the newer leaves are pretty faint in color. Now, I’m worried!! (The other brown leaves are scorched from being a bit too much light while I was trying to find the perfect spot at my parent’s house…oopsies!)

    If the leaf is super hard/crunchy it’s probably a lack of water and new leaves will be faint for a while until they mature and develop color so no need to move it.

      It was pretty soft, could that be because my apartment is very humid?

      These plants like humidity but also lose leaves every now and then so I wouldn’t worry as long as this is the only one.

      I have since moved my plant away from the vent it sat near. I came back to 2 leaves also starting to turn brown. Thank you for your advice, hopefully this saves him!
