Help please. Not sure why my ctenanthe amagris is doing this. I check the water before I water and follow what planta tells me for misting and it just keeps curling its leaves. Any help would be greatly appreciated

    It happened to two of my plants now, idk why. My thought is that they’re cold 🤷🏻‍♀️ but might be other reasons. We’re doing just fine and then this happened

      Same here a week ago it was open and looked pretty good. 😔

    How much are you letting it dry before watering it? And what is your humidity like?

      I wait till it's dry about 1" down and I just got a humidifier for that room and set it up today. But I do mist it when the app tells me too.

      Curling is generally a sign that the plant is trying to conserve resources (possibly to prevent evaporation from the surface of leaves or limit exposure to light to decrease photosynthesis). Do you bottom water it or top water it? Also when you water it, do you feel a very noticeable change in the weight of the plant from the soil being fully saturated?

      I water from the top and leave the tray under it for 10 to 15 minutes to make sure it has time to fill up. I really soaked it yesterday and it looks a bunch better. It is close to a window and I have a grow light on it.

    Either not enough humidity and/or too much light. The leaves curl on mine. Shortly after I move her closer to humidifier and further from the window,she uncurls them.

      I did move it up a shelf and when I watered it the other day I pur it back on the lower shelf and it is much happier. Thanks for all the help

    I noticed mine found this, but it was the side closet to the front door. I moved her back and like 2 wks after, she's recovered. . Mine was cold draft!

    Excessive light or hot air. Mine have only ever done this when they are getting too much sun especially if it’s hot out. Simply getting them out of direct light and a little drink of water and time to recover does the trick
