   I think it's humidity, but I TOO am suddenly a plant person... I have one that has a humidifier on. It has lost 3 leaves, it still has 2 but I am not sure I rescued it soon enough... so I'll be following for other responses!

     Do you mean too much humidity or not enough? It’s in my bathroom and I spray its leaves so it does get quite a bit.

   looks like the plant has been staying too wet. it could be in too dark a space as well. prayer plants prefer bright indirect light. wait for at least the top inch of soil to dry before watering your calathea. and be sure to use rainwater or tap water that has been filtered to remove minerals and treated to remove chlorine. you can use bottled water for sensitive plants too but this is an expensive and environmentally damaging choice, considering the impacts of purifying methods and/or plastic recycling rates (about 9% of plastic discarded is actually recycled as far as i recall) depending on your choice of water.

     no problem! prayer plants can be finicky but they’re also quite rewarding to grow and surprisingly resilient. good luck 🌱
