my prayer plants old leaves starts to turn crisp and yellow around the edges, but it’s still growing new ones. is this an under watering problem?

YinDeezyCould be the type of water you’re using. Are you using tap water? Marantas and Calatheas can be sensitive to the minerals in tap water. They do well with tap water treated with water conditioner, like API stress coat, distilled or rain water. I use treated tap water for all my plants. Higher humidity can help too. 40-50% relative

yes I’m getting a humidifier for my plants. I am using tap water, so I’ll switch to distilled. Thanks so much!

Long term, I’d recommend treated tap water over distilled for plants. A gallon of distilled is $2-3 dollars where I am unless you have bulk water refill stations (25 cents per gallon at my local grocery store). API stress coat is like $3 for a 1oz bottle on Amazon. Only takes 3 drops per gallon of tap water and it lasts a long time. Save the distilled water for the humidifiers 👌🏽
