A teacher of mine asked for help! It looks like too much light to me! It also has a bug problem (It’s right at the window for reference, a full view of the sky)

letsfindjoyWhat makes you think a bug problem? Is the teacher physically checking the soil moisture before watering or watering on a schedule? Calatheas also have a lime sensitivity so they need to be watered with rain, distilled, or treated water.

She told me it had a bug problem and I saw signs of mealy bugs, and I know she uses distilled water! The texture of the leaves were normal compared to the off texture over or under watering can sometimes cause (to my knowledge), plus she only recently moved the plant closer to the window last week once finding the bugs

Women are WaterI wouldn’t give it any direct sunlight. And they are very thirsty so don’t let it completely dry out

Looks like an underwater issue to me. Usually if I neglect mine and it gets spindly, it has a hard time coming back. I have to pull it out of the soil and cut dried, dead roots before watering again. Otherwise these rot and then the leaves turn yellow.
