Hi guys! This is my first post and I’m new to owning indoor plants and one of the first plants I’ve fallen in love with turns out to be a big drama queen!! I love love LOVE the colors of this calathea and have the white fusion calathea on my wishlist to get also. I even found a big ‘calathea hagbergii’ (I think that’s what it is, looks close enough) in public the other day and stopped to admire the color on the leaves and my husband thought I was crazy🤣 Many people mention they can’t keep them alive for longer than a month so I’m hoping I can keep it happy. It has almost opened 2 new leaves (as pictured ) in the week I’ve had it. It is right in front of an east window, I’ve watered it about 7 days apart when completely dry, and mist almost every day because it is by air vent. Also got it on a rock bed to help with humidity. There have been a few spots becoming see through so in thinking I need to move it a little further away from window. Any other tips or tricks for this guy? Also let me know your favorite plants and what I should look into or buy to start building my collection! Thanks for your time love💕🌻🪴
