Some of my new leaves have bald skinny spots on them. Does anyone know what this could be? I’ve seen it on my rattlesnake calathea and on one of my alocasias

plantgeekthis looks like sunburn. calathea have thin leaves and are easily burnt. just move it a little further from the window and you should be okay, same for the alocasia

Hm, I’m not sure, it’s only on the new leaves, that have just unfurled. The window they’re in is north facing and the grown light is a good 20plus inches away. Id be surprised if they’re getting too much light

it may be edema from inconsistent watering, then. i'm not very confident on what that might be if it's not sun stress
