Hello all! I’m new to prayer plants and recently got a rattlesnake calathea! For the past week it hasn’t been closing up at night. Otherwise it looks perfectly fine! I water when it feels dry on the top inch or so, I mist and bring it in the bathroom with me when I shower for the humidity haha. It’s in an east-facing window and only has one random crispy spot but I bought it like that. Any ideas why she’s not praying at night or if it’s okay if that doesn’t happen? Thank you!

    It’s probably because you’re moving it around. I’d skip the misting and bringing it into the bathroom. Too much light or inconsistent light & changes will affect its ability to “pray” East is a good spot for it! I keep mine near east facing sliding doors This could also be a dehydration issue but it sounds like you’re not under watering.

      Update: I’ve let her chill and stopped moving her so much and she’s back to doing her thing. Thanks for the advice!
