I just rescued my first prayer plant from Target! I’m totally new to this plant, any tips?

    They can be pretty tough, ive learned they love distilled water, and brown tips, at least for me, are unavoidable. But they like humidity and ive started growing them in LECA and pure water and they seem to be thriving (heres one of mine in LECA)

      I also dont put mine in direct or too bright of sunlight, ive notcied it fades the pattern, but that might be different with each plant

      I’m new to LECA too! Just recently learned about it after owning and maintaining over 50 plants. I’m a misting girlie for now, do they like once a week or every day misting? Or somewhere in between?

      Misting usually doesnt actually work with plants unfortunately :/ it just raises the humidity for a small amount of time anf then when the water is gone it isnt humid anymore, aswell as water sitting on leaves can cause some fungal issues, i suggest going to walmart and getting a cool mist humidifier (ik most people reccomend warm but its cheaper and as long as ur paying attention it shouldn’t hurt) if u can find it, i use one by equate, but i think u can also use the vicks humidifier as long as u dont use vicks in it lol

      This one isnt the exact one i use but i cant seem to find the exact one online but its pretty similar

    I have three prayer plants. I water when soil is dry. They are right next to a humidifier to avoid brown crispy leaves. Next to my only window where they get indirect sunlight. Soil is a mixture of all purpose soil with perlite and tree bark. I think they are happy because they are always putting new leaves ☺️. Good luck with yours 👍🏽

    I have all mine right beside humidifier. I water when almost dry. Indirect light.
