HELP! I went out of town for 4 days and when I left my plant was healthy as you can see in the last pic. But when I came home she looked like this! I clipped so many leaves, repotted her and gave her some support with tape, but is she too far gone? Can I save her?
I believe you could still save her! If the soil was really wet then you may also want to check for any root rot/mushy roots and treat for that too. If it’s that; I do that by snipping off any mushy roots with clean scissors and spraying with 3% hydrogen peroxide before putting back into some more well draining soil. Then I wait a couple days at least before watering again. If you lose a lot of roots you may need to pot a size down; just measure the root ball and try to pick a pot that’s no more than 1-2 inches bigger. Sometimes plants kind of throw a tantrum after rehabbing too try to be patient (easier said than done for me 😅); in my experience leaving it alone and waiting a couple weeks is the hardest part!

좋아요 1개 She was really dry when I got home, her pot dried out fast and this was my first time leaving my plants for longer than 48 hours. So I watered her and then the next day I preformed surgery 😭. It’s been 4 days and now she looks like this. I have lost another leaf 🥺 if I cut all the leaves off do you think she will bounce back?
Im not sure if prayer plants come back from a total chop, but I’ve had luck with other plants doing that! Personally I might make it my last resort but part of the fun with plants is these little science experiments. Since you’re having to water so often maybe try moving to a shadier and cooler location and giving more humidity for a week or so before chopping? Good luck!

I think it would have been better to just wait for it to revive itself after being watered. They are very dramatic plants when they get thirsty and roll up their leaves! That’s how I know when to water them 😁
0개 좋아요 I realized that after 🤦🏼♀️ but even after being watered all the leaves shriveled up and died off. This is her now, she’s still alive 😊 I’m kind of new to being a plant mom, I just go off the vibes lol I know she looks crazy right now but bc there’s a new leaf coming in I don’t want to mess with her again lol
I’m guilty of helping too much with my plants and panic repotting 😅 but I’m learning patience from my mistakes haha
