Good news and bad news
 my Calathea white fusion was doing great - producing huge leaves and lots of new growth and is even flowering. But today I noticed it’s got spider mites. It didn’t have pests 10 days ago. I just bought predatory spider mites and hope it gets the job done. I’ve tried alcohol-soap mix and it doesn’t seem to help and dries up the plants leaves. The smell of neem oil inside my house bothers me. I hope the predatory mites can save my plant before too much leaf damage

      Also spider mites hate humidity so try and up the humidity with a humidity tray as well!

      I buy the blend of predatory mites from Natures Good Guys. It’s a few different species

      The humidity is already +50% but I could put more pebbles trays out

      They’re beneficial bugs. Predatory mites eat other mites, like the two-spot spider mite (that’s the one that makes webbing on your plants and damages your plants). The predatory spider mites eat other mites but don’t eat your plants. You can get them hem online. I prefer using them to using chemicals inside my house. And they’re easy to use- just sprinkle the container they come in on the infected plant and you’re done.
