I got this Prayer Plant this past Spring. I was excited to put it in this hanging macrame holder but I think I jumped the gun and the pot is too big. I have gotten a few new leaves but I keep losing the old ones. Currently the one in the back is turning yellow. I recently removed a plastic liner I originally left inside this pot. I wanted drainage so I took the plant out, removed the liner, opened the drainage hole, and put back in the pot. Do you think it’s ok to move this to a small er pot now?

    Yeah, I would move it to a smaller pot right away.

    You could downsize to a smaller nursery pot and still keep it in the macrame holder. That way you can keep the look you want while having a pot size appropriate for the plant.

    Agree with the comments above a 4” nursery pot would do. Mine is bigger and it’s in a 4” plastic nursery pot it’s inside a nursery pot

    I moved this to a smaller pot today. Hoping it makes a comeback and thrives! I really love the look of these plants.

    I reported her and she has 2 new leaves unfurling. She must like the smaller, cozy pot.
