I’m a bit unsure about my Stromanthe Triostar. It pushed out one new leaf since I got it, another is on the way, many new roots, and two new rhizomes. However, some of the roots seem to rot anyways, two leaves are yellowing, and I’ve found two mealy bugs. I have it in a mix that is 2/3 coco coir 1/6 perlite and 1/6 coco chips. Am I doing something wrong? I’m using distilled water and watering when it’s 2/3 ish dry. I don’t think the root rot is due to drying out too much though because the roots are kinda mushy and melting at the ends. But once again, the plant seems otherwise happy. The only reason I know about the minimal rot is because it’s in a clear pot. It’s right in front of an eastern window but has some light blocked because it’s over to the far side. What should I do???
