Worried my prayer plant is looking a bit unhealthy, I only got her a week ago so wondering if she’s just settling into my house and if I should be doing anything to make her more comfortable.

HayleyThe picture won't focus on my phone, but from what I can see she seems healthy, maybe has some browning on a few of her leaves? If so, it's usually a water problem. Marantas are quite dramatic when given tap water; they prefer filtered/dechlorinated water. Personally, I use a faucet filter for most watering. If I'm topping off my moss ball tank, I also use Seachem Prime in the bucket to neutralize the remaining chlorine (my faucet filter says it removes chlorine, but my aquatic snails still react to not Primed water like it's chlorinated so I know the filter doesn't remove all traces of it). None of my houseplants have shown a difference when I water with or without Prime, though; as long as I use the faucet filter everyone's happy.

Thank you so much, Hayley. When I watered her when I got home I used tap water and then after when I started researching how to care for her I realised they’re fussy when it comes to water. On her next water I’ll definitely use filtered water.
