New plant parent here: Ordered a lemon lime prayer plant and she arrived like this today 🥺 I’ve already reached out to the seller for resolution, but how can I save/recover this plant? I have a red prayer plant that’s doing well, but she was in good shape when I got her, unlike this one. Any help is welcomed!
I've seen (and paid for) marantas in way worse shape tbh. I'd treat her like any new maranta: remove from pot to check roots and make sure pot size and soil type are correct (I keep marantas in self watering pots, so I would switch it over to that style at this point). Give a good water and put her with the rest of my humidity loving plants. Once she's watered and in a humid environment, she should perk right up.
2개 좋아요Thank you! I haven’t had much luck with self watering pots, but I’ve been doing pretty well watering my red prayer plant properly. I just want this one to bounce back and eventually have it be more bushy than leggy.

2개 좋아요Mine bounced back just fine. She just needed to adjust. I did take a cutting from it the day I got it tho 😖 but the cutting has grown roots and I’ll be transferring it back to the pot with the mother plant in another couple of weeks. They’re slightly dramatic, but they come back with consistent care.
