Recently my calathea white fusion threw out a new leaf, and it looks like this… does anyone know why? It’s so different from the other leafs.

laura 🩷🪴It may be totally random or it may be lighting related! It may not be getting bright enough light or light for a long enough duration each day. Brighter or more consistent light will generally yield more variegation, but flukes can always happen. I wouldn’t worry unless new leaves continue to do this.

AmyMy white fusion did that a couple of times and I cut the leaf off. I know I’m a terrible person! I wanted the plant to put energy into the more variegated leaves not the green ones. Also I increased the lighting. Variegated plants can revert back to “normal” green leaves. This is what mine looks like
