i have a prayer plant that i’m adopting and it looks like it’s tilting over to one side, is this normal? what should i do to help it grow and thrive?

    Yes! It will lean towards the sun. It is a trailing plant. Make sure to turn as it grows!

    For care: indirect sunlight, it likes bright light (ish), mine do well a couple of feet away from a south-facing window, warmer room conditions, some humidity, never let them dry out all the way because they are thirsty plants The nice thing about the maranta you’ve adopted is that they are very expressive. The leaves fold all the way down when they are happy. The leaves should go all the way up in the evening. Marantas are unique and opposite of most plants. If the leaves are perky during the day, they are not happy. Only give distilled water. Tap water has too many chemicals. Marantas are thought by some to be drama queens in all these care requirements. For those of us that love marantas (great for beginners), they are expressive in what they need and when they need it. There are lots of youtube videos you can watch about marantas and their care.
