I really want to create an indoor greenhouse so my toxic plants can be out on display but also away from the pets and in a good environment. I’m looking at a Milsbo because I’ve seen those are common. Are there any other options I could look into since I’m on a budget?
Look on Facebook marketplace, sometimes there are cabinets on sale! And you could also look into fabrikor, rudsta, baggebo, etc. anything smaller will be cheaper. Another option is to convert a thrifted cabinet.

I just added stick-on grow lights in an IKEA cabinet and it works great for humidity lovers! Death trap for cacti though.
0개 좋아요Metal shelving racks. Like the kind you get for garages but come in all shape, sizes…. And they are configurable. Also, pets can’t climb on them. My space is still a work in progress, but I built around a cube shelf using a metal rack shelving unit I found on Amazon a while ago (was in the garage unused). This one even has a bar for the center, which I’m not using at the moment and have the cube shelves in the center instead. “Amazon Basics Expandable Hanging Storage Organizer Rack Wardrobe with Shelves”. Another in the back is a steel case cabinet I know they can’t jump onto. Then I got a couple garden trays, some rocks and indoor grow lights. Finally decided on Soltech. Using the Aspect (full sun capability), Vita 60 degree, and their new Grove. Most expensive but economical, made in USA, longest warranty, and won’t make you or your pets blind (requiring a tent or reflective paper to cover). Also a small 22 watt purple light combined with the grove bar for seeds and seedlings,
I also found room divider curtain rods which I setup around everything. I can hang pendant lights using adjustable carabiners, rope lights, and use a heavy duty clip on fixtures on the racks or the divider bars for bulb lights.
