Hi everyone, what are some relatively easy to care for pet friendly (both cat & dog) plants that provide good air purification?? Looking for suggestions for both sunny and shaded areas. New planter here so any suggestions and advice (and photos) would be greatly appreciated!!
My easiest pet friendly plants are spider plants, peperomias, polka dot plants, most types of succulents, and pileas. I use the app called “plantin” that will scan a plant for you and tell you care tips and if it’s toxic to animals. It will ask you to start a free trial but you can select no and use it for free!

I second the peperomias! Different varieties will like different light levels. I also recommend Hoyas. Drought tolerant, pet safe, and they flower! I’d say the Hoya Australis Lisa is a good intro Hoya, and very pretty!

Holiday cactus (Thanksgiving, Easter & Christmas) are in my experience super easy & are considered safe for both cats and dogs. Bonus points for the pretty flowers! Air plants are also considered pet safe and are super cute little weirdos. 😊 (I would double check the toxicity of any plant before you get it. I have Planta premium and most of the plant listings show if they are toxic and the ASPCA has a good list of toxic plants).
