   I was going to say a zz plant or snake plant, but they are toxic (not safe for pets). You could browse planta's plants and just look for one that says low light and not toxic.

     I actually got a calathea recently 😁 I was looking for some prayer plants too but the ones at my local garden are just a little too big for me right now, but I’m definitely going to keep looking around!

   Pepperomia! There’s a ton of different varieties with beautiful leaf patterns and colors. Mine are all kept in my north windowsills, and the obtusifolia varieties are especially easy-care and I practically treat them like low-light succulents. Here’s my marble peperomia, Sunny.

     And here’s my variegated sweet and sour peperomia obtusifolia. She’s grown like a weed since I got her in May and all I’ve ever had to do for her was give her a bigger pot, repot her in a mix of all purpose soil and cactus mix soil, and bottom water her. They’re also a more affordable plant. I’ve gotten all of mine for $7 each, and I spot them often in plant nurseries. Hope this helps!

   They’re so beautiful! I have two peperomias right now, but I haven’t seen these variations! Thx! I’ll look into them. And thank you so much for all the information, this is extremely helpful
